Updated: Feb 6Yes, of course a classic wooden Riva was and is a beautiful object. It was inspired by the era that it was produced and this boat is no different. Although it can be argued that this design would be much more about our time if it were carbon fiber instead of wood, it has a much deeper level of carefully considered design detail by using a classic wooden hull. Van Dam seems to have learned from the optimism of the 1950's and given us a beautiful boat that sets the design standard for our times.
